The veneers to the front of the clock are well chosen flames and matched from dial right through the curved base. The clock has two opening side doors to gain access to the pendulum. The 12" painted dial retains its original background and is signed for the maker ‘William Edmead, 138 Gower Street, London, WC.’ It has bold Roman numerals with an outer minute ring and well shaped heart and pointer hands made from brass.
