31166C.BR A fine and imposing mahogany bell top bracket clock with well figured veneers of a warm colour. The four corners of the case are unusually canted in brass. The feet of typical form and the top surmounted by four gilded brass finials. The two train fusee movement has verge escapement and strikes the hours on a bell. The backplate of the movement is engraved with floral scroll work and a central Chinese pagoda. The attractive dial with strike/silent ring in the arch and large cutout below 12 o’clock for the signature plaque signed William Seymour, London. Height to base of handle: 20" (51 cms) |
