The gilded gorge case is slightly smaller than standard which makes it very attractive. The side panels have a turquoise border with gold decoration and applied white and ruby coloured beads. The centres have beautifully painted scenes of courting couples dancing in a garden setting. The top of the case has a bevelled edge glass with an engine turned and gilded mask and an oval aperture to view the escapement.
The dial has a country scene with a young couple and an attentive dog in the foreground. It has roses to the centre of the dial with birds in flight above. The chapter ring has black Roman numerals on a white background and is bordered with gold decoration on a turquoise base. It has blued steel spade hands.
The eight day movement strikes and repeats the hour on a blued steel coiled gong and strikes one at half past. The backplate and case is numbered 1350. The platform lever escapement has a frosted silver finish and is fully jewelled. It has a bi-metallic balance wheel with poising and timing screws and a double coquette.
It is complete with a leather travelling case and winding key.
