An extremely attractive English dial clock. The case of drum form, is veneered in well figured mahogany with locks for the cast brass bezel and the pendulum access door. The movement is accessed via a rear door.

The 8″ painted dial, signed Stubbs, Old Kent Road, has been refreshed but retains its original background. It has heart and pointer shaped blued steel hands and a silvered sight ring attached to the nicely cast brass bezel.

The eight day gut fusee timepiece movement is of good quality with nice wheel work and nicely shaped cocks and bridges.

It is possible that Stubbs was the retailer, rather than the maker.
