A very nice gorge cased grande sonnerie carriage clock. The case, of typical form, has an unusual silvered and engine turned mask to the top glass, thereby showing the escapement through a cut out oval.

The white enamel dial has Roman numerals with outside Arabic numerals and there is an alarm dial below six o’clock. The clock has nicely shaped trefoil blued steel hands.

The eight day grande sonnerie movement strikes the hours and the quarters on two gongs mounted on the backplate. It has the usual selection lever in the base for silent, petite sonnerie and grande sonnerie striking and there is a repeat button to the top of the case.

Height to base of handle: 5.75″ (14.5 cm.)
